A compass is a device that helps us determine the direction in which we are moving. A moral compass is something inside us that points us in the right direction. A moral compass helps us make the right or the moral choice. When we let our moral compass guide us, we let virture guide us, and we make wiser choices.

Describe your personal moral compass. In other words, describe the values that guide your choices. Your values might include honesty, kindness, loyalty, family or respect. Who or what has helped you form your moral compass? Give a specific example of a time when your moral compass pointed you in the right direction.

When you have done the very best you know how to do - when you/ve given it all you've got - you're a winner. It doesn't matter whether or not you fail to reach a personal goal or wether or not someone else does better than you. When you choose to do your very best, you win. You win self - respect. And you experience the rpde in knowing you gave it your all.

Describe a time when you did your absolute best but felt like a failure. Were you hard on yourself? How would you treat yourself differently now? How do you treat others when they try hard bur don't reach the goal, like at a sports event or a school performance? How can we best support and encourage each other at times like these?

How is my life rich?

The American Heriate Dictionary defines rich as " possessing great material wealth." It goes on to define rich as "having great worth or value, having an abundant supply, meaningful and significant, very productive."

A person can enjoy a rich life without having much money or many possessions. She / He might be rich in love and respect. She / He might have an abundant supply of good health or good humor. She / He might have great value in the community because of her / his honesty or her / his determination. She / He might possess a wealth of knowledge. A person of good character is always rich because she prospers in the things that count.

Describe the ways in which your life is rich. Which positive chatacter traits do you possess that help make your life rich. Name one character muscle you might need to strengthen so you can enjoy a richer life at school and at home.

No one person can whistle a symphony. It takes a whole orchestra. Unknown

An orchestra is made up of four sections of instruments: string, brass, woodwind and percussion. Strings are violins, violas, cellos and double basses. Brass instrument are the trumpets, horns, trombones and the tuba. The woodwind instrument include the oboes, flutes, bassoons and clarinets. And finally, the percussion section is made up of the kettledrums, snare drum, bass drum, cymbals and triangle. Most orchestras have a harp and a piano.

Something to write about

Each instrument makes a different kind of music. Each musician plays that instrument in his or her own unique way. When musicians play together as an orchestr, they create beautiful music for many to enjoy. Compare and contrast the human family with an orchestra. What instrument do you identify with most? Why?
