A compass is a device that helps us determine the direction in which we are moving. A moral compass is something inside us that points us in the right direction. A moral compass helps us make the right or the moral choice. When we let our moral compass guide us, we let virture guide us, and we make wiser choices.
Something to Write About
Describe your personal moral compass. In other words, describe the values that guide your choices. Your values might include honesty, kindness, loyalty, family or respect. Who or what has helped you form your moral compass? Give a specific example of a time when your moral compass pointed you in the right direction.

Yes I am choosing to do the right thing. My Dad & my best friend Dillon has helped me point in the right direction.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm doing the right think. I'm always honest to everyone and I'm loyal,too. My mom helped me to understand that. I spend time with my family not that muth but I'm working on it. I do get a lot of respect,too.

ReplyDeleteMy moral compass is guided by my honesty and my family. These two things encourage me to do my beat. My family does this by telling me I can do what ever I put my mind to. My honesty tells me to be honest and never cheat when I work for someting.

ReplyDeleteHonesty is one good characteristic to get out of people. Telling the truth is very hard. The truth can be good or bad. Either way, you have to do the rignt thing. Making the right decision is important because it helps you get farther in life.

Truthfully i think that i am not being as honest and trustworthy as i used to be. Don't get me wrong, i do make a lot of good choices and i know whats wrong or right. I believe i am driven more by the respect people give me. The more people respect my thoughts and myself the more successful i am.
ReplyDeleteMy parents have helped me form my moral compose by, letting me know when I am doing something that is wrong and giving me gratitude when I do something right I know it is right because it gives me a sence of fulfilment when I am done with it.

My values include kindness. Theres no reason to be unkind to some one just because their different, or you dont agree with them. You should always be kind no matter what. My moral compass is my mom. I believe she points me in the direction to do the right thing.

My moral compass helps me with hard decisions. I try to make the best decision, so I don't make things worse. The values I have are honesty because it is worse to lie then tell truth. My friends and family helped me form my moral compass. For example, on Christmas I got money and i really wanted an I pod touch , but that would be the only thing I would get so I didn't get it.

My mom has helped me through this and has been there to teach me this stuff. I have a goal because of mt compass my goal is to finish school and be a professor in college. I have to ability to respect everyone and have kindness to everyone. I will not be the one making fun of someone but the person leading a group to a good path of life.

My moral compass has nerver lead me in the wrong direction even when times were tough. My way of life and living has been lead by my family and their way of doing things. Never give up is what I am told all the time and keep following your dreams.

My values only include kindness. The way that I am kind is that as longa s you're not mean to me then i won't be mean back to you. To me my moral compasses are that people that Give me positive reiforcement. Some of these people would be like my mom,dad,unlces and aunts, and some of my cousins. The reason why i think that these people are my morals because they will point me in the direction that I need to go when I am off track.

my moral compise has evened itself out by having some bad choices and some wrong choices..... for example when im in a baseball game and i choose to steal a base and get caught that is a bad moral compise but if i do make it then its a good moral compise=]]].......

ReplyDeleteI think im doing the right thing. I used to be in alot of trouble then i switched my mind up. I came to Mrs. Baker and when i started hanging with Jasin Martinez i got better and better at typing also. I do think im doing the right thing because i had great behavior since i've been here. It's like when im not with my friends my behavior changes. One more thing my grades also change around to good grades. So now that im done i will try to stay the way that i am now with great behavior for the rest of my life.

No, I haven't been doing what i know i can do to the best of my ability. When i know that i can do something better i just leave it like it is. I know that this is the real world its like at home im lazy and just leave a mess around.I ma not choosing the right thing. My step dad says this stuff that your doing isnt going to cut outside this house.

personally i think the best moral thing is the golden rule....do onto others as you would do you (or at least i think thats how it goes) people always come up to me and say that im an imoral person because im an athesit and don't believe in god.....but that doesn't matter really because to me as long as you respect other people for who they are and who they want to be....its all okay then.....
and i use my head to decide whawt im gonna do before i do it

ReplyDeleteI thin i am doing the right thing. My moral compass helps guide me to the right path by showing me what is right, and what is wrong. Having my family helps demonstrate and show what is wrong, and what is good too. Everybody makes the wrfong turn sometimes and thats fine. I have made a few wrong turns, but I always try to find a way back to the track. My moral compass has helped to do so. Trusting myself and the people I care for, makes me think I am doing the right thing. Making the right choice is important, thats why you have to think. Thinking and useing your moral compass will help you. My moral compass and the ones I love and care for, have helped me thoughout my life.

My moral compass guides mi in2 the right direction because i know if i make a bad path (direction) theres consequences that come with it and i dont want my future 2 be bad because of something that i made a mistake on.
ReplyDeleteWell I think that if you are doing the right thing good things in return. If you arent doing good things bad thing come in return. Lets say you are giving things away to homeless people when you give away things that help them you get a good felling inside of you. Now if you are doing something bad to somebody like if you give somebody something dont go back and take wahat youi gave them.
