No one person can whistle a symphony. It takes a whole orchestra. Unknown
An orchestra is made up of four sections of instruments: string, brass, woodwind and percussion. Strings are violins, violas, cellos and double basses. Brass instrument are the trumpets, horns, trombones and the tuba. The woodwind instrument include the oboes, flutes, bassoons and clarinets. And finally, the percussion section is made up of the kettledrums, snare drum, bass drum, cymbals and triangle. Most orchestras have a harp and a piano.
Something to write about
Each instrument makes a different kind of music. Each musician plays that instrument in his or her own unique way. When musicians play together as an orchestr, they create beautiful music for many to enjoy. Compare and contrast the human family with an orchestra. What instrument do you identify with most? Why?

I think me and my family are more like the string because we are always together. I would compare myself to the pecusion always wanting to be heard.

I can see my self as a drum because i con be really loud at some times. When I'm at school i am very quite like a tranigle.
Any instrument can be in any orchestra and anyone can be in any orchestra if you put your slef and mind to it.
I think my famly and i are lot like the bass becouse we can have are up and downs but we are younited in a very goog way. we my fit like dogs at some times but we stay together no mather what.And i would compare my self to the pecusion i all ways want to be heard in every way. i love playing instrument i my not have one but i still like playing instrument.my favite is the bass it is just rite for me. i think my older brother is like the woodwind he like to be unheard at sometimes i think my little sister is like me she is alwas trying to be heard my mom and dad is like the stings they mit fit some time but they do love each other at other time like they go out to eat or if you call it going on a date then good job your rite it all way help them throw in bad times.my grandparents are like brass their all ways helping pople. i love my famly they all have their spechel ways of doing things, and noteveryone in my famly is the same but we allway are like the stings.some others in my famly play instrument i even have a musician in my famly she my not be the but she well all ways be my big sis. she wrams my heart at sometimes but she is the best sis in the world.i love her so much that me and her a like the band all ways there togther.

My life is like a piano. There are many keys in my life such as family. Each person or key makes a different sound that can come to one group to make a wonderful sound or a horrible sound. Each key I press can make a change in sound or in life. The keys are like chioses. I can press them or not. I can do two things at once or nothing at all. Tuning a panio is like fixing a problem in life. Life is like a piano.

The instrument I identify the most is the electric guitar because I like to rock out loud on this instrument and I also like to imitate the music and solos of my favorite bands all the time and it really significates who I am.
My name is quianna and i think my family is like an orchestra because like the music an orchestra makes my family always together as one. In the orchestra my family makes I am the BASS because I always want to HEARD.

I think I identify as the violin cause around people I don't know I'm very quiet and calm. When I at school I'm like the bass with a little of the tuba(meaning I can be loud). My family are like the drums, we can be very loud especially at home. But in a way my family and I always work together to get the job done. So I would decribe myself like the violin mix with the flute and a little of the triangle.

My life could be considered an acoustic guitar. Many different chord combinations, but each one is a different emotion or action. The acoustic is always a soft beat unless you put enough force and energy on each chord, which would be the hard times and the times that need to be spoken. Each time you strum is a new note and a new page of my life. My life can be compicated like learning to play.

ReplyDeleteMy family would most likely be compared to a the percussion section because we all have opinions of our own. I recognize the triangle the most because its kind of like me. You hear little parts from it but not much or enough to really the know the sound that comes from it, but always wants to be heard.

What common ground do I walk with all other human beings. My family and I are percussion. My brother, sisters and I are really good at triangle. My dad is good at bass drum. My mom is somewhat good at snare drum. So we are good at percussion.
ReplyDeleteThere is a lot of instruments in the world and a lot of humans in the world. Every instument is different in a unique way. So are humans. Each person is different in unique way. The best insrutment that fits me is the piano. The piano because it makes a calm and nice sound. And I am a calm and nice person.

i think my family and i are more like an orchestra.i say an orchestra because an orchestra has 4 parts and there are 4 people in my family.my daddy would be the string because the violin is the soft, calm instrument and my daddy is a very calm person.my mama would be the brass because the brass is the loudest instrument and my mama always be yelling in stuff and she is loud. i guess my sister would be the percussion section because she can be loud when she wants to be and you can play the drums how lound or soft you want. i guess i woud be the woodwind because that includes the flutes and the flutes are very mellow and so am i.....i gues

I would probably say that I am a drummer. Because i love loud music and im very loud at home. And i think the drums make a cool sound. I am also very good at the drums in Rock band.
ReplyDeleteIf my family had to be an instruament in the orchestra it would be a piano because it has several diffrent notes and diffrent songs. On the piano you can play country, pop, rock,etc. But if I had to choose one for me then I would choose the violin because I am the middle in my. I think my familt is best as the piano.

ReplyDeleteThe human race. So a livid, and beautiful thing. An orchestra, another wonderful creation. Combined with the humans natural talent of the arts, and the lovly melody of music, what beauty can be made.
ReplyDeleteThe father. The man of the family. What part shall he play in his show? It would only be fitting if he plays the percussion. He's the beat of life, and brings all of the other music together. He keeps the beat consistent and triverse. He leads the rest of the family, to a path of greatness and enlightenment. With his beating heart, and toughness, his tempo being herad from all the rest. He would only fit this role.
The mother. She would be the string. Her grace and beauty, bringing jealousy throughout the orchestra. From being happy and alive, to being sad and emotional, she brings the mood to the family. The wonderful tone that erupts from her strings, the amountof though, and practice put into work. Years of work, since learning at an early age. What a beautiful art, the string class is.
The son. He would be the brass class. One step below the drums, following in his father's footsteps. Learning, watching, and waiting. Eager to be heard and apprieciated, but undermined for his unmaturity. His nice sharp sounds, eager for a chance to prove itself. Clearly heard throughtout the show, bronze instrument, flailing around as the livly note is played.
The daughter. She would be the woodwind class. Her graceful and tender sound, trying to keep along with the rest of the show. Barely heard, and barely noticed, yet, when all else goes silent, her wooden flute, will be heard throughout the crowd, as she takes the center stage. Her mother's care, guiding her throughout her difficult life.
What instrument would I be? I would be the brass class. I look up tomy parents, and want to be as successful as them, maybe even more. I want to be heard, and apprieciated for my potential. Although, I'm not grown, and not fully mature yet, I still know what I need to do in life, and what I want to do. My show will be one of epic proportions, and will be remembered by many.
I would say that my family is a mix of all of the instuments. We are all different but we work best as a team. We bring out the best in each other.

In the end these things are mainly alike so thats why me and my family are very similar.

The string section isnt always heard over the other instruments but when it gets to its part, it sounds amazing. My family is like that, not always heard but still sounds great. Except my mom, she is usually heard...whether you like it or not.

If I was an instrument it would be the piano. I would be the piano because they have many different keys. These keys would make up my life. One could be my friends, one could be my anger, and one could be my happyness. Its all different and each combination makes me act differently. Just like if I was standing there talking to someone and they got me upset. That would be like pressing a different key on a piano.
